Wexler Wallace is currently investigating claims that certain Toro brand lawnmowers contain defective and negligently designed elements that present a serious fire risk.
Consumers who purchased and operated the 2014 Toro TimeCutter riding lawnmower have reported spontaneous fires originating from the mower following regular intended use.
The fires are caused by an allegedly negligent design that allows grass clippings to accumulate in and around the motor. In addition, the fuel filters on the TimeCutter mower may become brittle, causing them to fracture and leak fuel, which may intensify the fire risk.
Toro has also allegedly failed to adequately warn users of the potential for grass clippings to accumulate in and around the motor, or that the fuel filter is prone to fracture and leakage.
