WW represents the United Food and Commercial Workers Unions and Employers Midwest Health Benefits Fund in a case pending in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against GlaxoSmith Kline ("GSK") concerning sustained release versions of Wellbutrin SR and Zyban, medications commonly used to treat depression and to help individuals quit smoking. The case, where discovery is currently wrapping up, alleges that GSK illegally blocked generic versions of Wellbutrin and Zyban from entering the United States market, thereby causing indirect purchasers to pay substantially higher costs to obtain these medicines.
